Yorktown Swap started in 2023 with one idea: give local sellers an affordable, no pressure place to set up shop — no storefront, no long lease, no barrier to entry. Owner Ishla Olson wrote the business plan herself, hosted the very first swap in a borrowed parking lot, and grew it one weekend at a time into a fixture inside the Newgate Mall.
Today it's a mixed market where makers, collectors, small businesses, and neighbors set up right next to each other — and everyone shopping keeps their dollars close to home.
